TGR Exotics is the fruition of two individuals, Troy and Gwen Scott.

Animals have always been a part of our lives and fortunately we both share that passion, or believe me it would not work. We have two sons, Rhett and Dakota, who also share in the fun and the hard work that goes along with such an adventure. The story started with the purchase of a pot-bellied pig and grew, just like the pig. We purchased our first llama in 1992 and have been hooked ever since. Today our family consists of nearly 100 animals. In addition to llamas we raise Binturongs,  Red Kangaroos, Eastern Grey Kangaroos, Wallaroos, Coeundous, Tamanaduas, Sloths, and Red Ruffed Lemurs. We are also the proud home to “Sindu”, our Bengal Tiger, 4 housecats ( of course they are exotic), Several dogs  including a Komondor, a Puli, a Briard, a French Bulldog) and several Xolos, a Hyacinth Macaw, a Palm Cockatoo and a white bellied Cacique. Oh, I forgot to mention the pig who started it all, LiChi and her companions Sir Hogsworth and Anakin.

Life is a total ZOO! And we would not have it any other way.

Giggles

  • 1.5 year(s)

Giggles is our latest edition to the TGR Exotics family. She came to us all the way from Tanzania. He/She is wonderful and gives new meaning to the term teething! We have yet to pull blood for a DNA test to determine sex. Either way Giggles is a keeper! Keep checking back for more photos as Giggles changes and develops her characteristic spotted coat.

Pebbles

  • 1.6 year(s)

Wow! Here is one of our newest edition to the TGRE family, Pebbles. She and her mom are doing great. Hard to get photos at this point but will keep posting updates. She is starting to get a little fur. A couple months ago Pebbles stopped nursing from mom for whatever reason and we almost lost her. But we were able to react quickly and with excellent vet support were able to save her. She is thriving on a bottle and has quite the personality. Pebbels as you can see from the latest photo is growing up. She has won the hearts of everyone here.
